Within the quiet world of Beyond The Forest Bleu, families are rarely described with words. Their stories are told through small gestures — a hand held, a quiet presence, the closeness of three figures standing together.

The Family presents the central trio of this imagined landscape. Two sisters stand on either side of a their younger sister, their heads gently inclined toward the centre as though listening to something only they can hear. The composition is simple and still, allowing the emotional gravity of the moment to emerge through posture rather than narrative.

The restrained palette of white, black, and vermillion gives the scene a quiet symbolic quality. The figures feel both familiar and mysterious, like characters from a half remembered fable.

Part of The Neighbours of the Forest Bleu series, this work introduces the lead figures from the wider Beyond The Forest Bleu world. It captures a small, intimate moment within that universe — a portrait of belonging.
